joel.is: What is your coming soon page for?

Joel Gascoigne says startups should make a real landing page that explains the problem you’re trying to solve, instead of the trendy new “viral coming soon” pages that are popping up everywhere.

But an even better point in the article is that you should *engage in conversations* with the people who actually give you their email so you can learn whether the thing you’re building even solves their problems.
